25 Aug Monday Like What Happen?

Tropical Storm Julio Came to Tastiota!
Fish were even washing up and then a Pelican flew in and help himself!
We really love it down here, we say it's like living in Adventure Land! There is always something different going on

Isa loves to chase the waves, but we usually have to go to the beach for that. Very seldom do we have waves in our estuary.

All of this water is not usually here!
Normal tides we have to climb down the ladder on the side of the dock to get into our kayaks. Now we can just step off the dock and get in! Our whole front yard area is now under water. We are loving it, it has really cooled off, we have the doors open and the air-conditioner off!

We love spending time on our front porch.
I even bring my laptop out on the porch to work some times.

This was this morning, Tuesday the 26th. The water is usually out as far as the first post of the railing. See one of Bob's horseshoe pits, it fills up with water and the water comes all the way up to the house.

Now, Bob's horseshoe pit is full. The fisherman here pulled their boats up on the land because of the storm and now the land is covered. Many of the houses here have water in them and most of them have dirt floors. What a mess for them.

Now this is looking at the back of our house and
there should not be any water out here.
This shot is from our bedroomwindow. This afternoon the water
all the way up to the back of our wall
and farther behind where our car are.
We have much more water now!

My goodness, were you scared seeing all that water getting so close. Thanks for the pictures, love to hear and see whats happening. We will miss you at the reunion but we'll post pictures when it's over. Love you
That's crazy! Did you think that you might have to leave? I will have to post some of our lovely pictures here in Colorado. I am glad that you and Bob are okay.
Everyone, We were never afraid or worried. The water doesn't come in our house, at least it never has. We never even thought about needing to leave. When it gets like this, we usually can't get out. It is never too long before we can get out. We love all the different changes that happen here by the sea! Love You All
